For a man that was going to conduct a different kind of campaign, John McCain sure seems to be following the standard GOP playbook. Throw out as much BS as you can. A lot of it will stick and he won’t have to explain why his plans for the Presidency look suspiciously like Dubya’s, the most unpopular President in history.
The maverick McCain, if there ever really was such a person, is long gone, replaced by this person doing everything he can to paint Obama in the worst light. A man that will say or do anything to get elected. I saw this morning on the news channels that even his Mother think is he acting stupidly.
What scares me is that, if you believe the polls, people are buying into this crap. They dislike George Bush’s administration, but at the same time, are willing to put someone into office who will continue those same policies for another four years.
Are they just afraid of a black man? That’s simply ludicrous.
Look around people, this country is in much sadder shape than it was back in 2000 when thr Republicans took over. Can we really afford four more years of this same crap? Obama as President is no guarantee that things will get better. But with McCain, we know for certain that it will only get worse. He has nothing of substance. That’s why he let the attack dogs loose. He has to cover up his shortcomings because he has nothing to offer.
And Obama. He seems afraid to tarnish his image by fighting back. He needs to do something. I’m beginning to believe the Denmocrats made a mistake. Hillary wouldn’t have been afraid to get down in the trenches and fight as dirty as the GOP.
I refer to the Democrats’ mistakes because, although I back Obama, I couldn’t vote in the primaries. You see, I’m a registered Republican and have been for forty years. In just in the last eight that I’ve been embarrassed to admit that fact. I’ve never bought into the recent GOP BS for the simple reason that I have a brain and have been known to use it once in a while.
