I’ll not say much about this book as it’s been covered much better by other people.
But how can you go wrong with a novel filled with a werewolf, a vampire, witches, wizards, golems, and a squad of heavily armed Jesuit priests.
The story alternates between now and the sixteenth century where the narrator of the story, a ghost, lived. Everyone is after the Philosopher’s Stone, missing for four centuries, and not at all what people thought.
