I was somewhat disappointed when I saw these boys live. Not in the show itself, but 
the length. They were opening for Rush and were allowed to play only about twenty minutes or so. I am a fan of Rush, but I went there to see The Cult.
Here are a couple of my favorites.
I didn’t include the usual suspects, Godzilla and Don’t Fear The Reaper, though they rank among my favorites also. Those two they play on the radio fairly regularly, but almost never anything else.
The Cult can almost be considered a fantasy band I suppose. One album was mostly based on Moorcock’s Elric, with the author getting song writing credits on Black Blade and Veteran of the Psychic Wars.
One of my favourite bands too. I’ve seen them a few times but missed them last time they made it over here. Couple of excellent choices to add to your blog.
While I enjoy the music, I am not a fan of them.
Back in 92 or so, I was supposed to interview Bloom for some tracks they did for a soundtrack for a film called BAD CHANNELS. They did not have a record deal except for this. I liked the music and agreed to do an interview.
Bloom blew me off TWICE. Normally, I would not have bothered givng anyone a second chance, but I felt sorry for them. Good music, but I won’t buy anything else or support them.
I like me some BOC. Especially Godzilla. Oh, no, there goes Toyko
