I agree with most of them, but–for example, I’m not sure it’s fair to place Vonnegut next to Asimov or Doc Smith. They were attempting to do very different things with the books that are listed.
Douglas Adams? Really? Sure the books are very popular, especially after they were made into a Brit miniseries, but top 15 SF of all time? NO FRIGGIN’ WAY.
I can’t say I have big problems with the others, though I wouldn’t have put GATEWAY on my list. MISSION OF GRAVITY (Clement), UPLIFT WAR (Brin) and plenty of others are much better. But if I could only pick one to replace the Adams, it would probably be MORE THAN HUMAN by Sturgeon. But then CHILDHOOD’S END should be there too…
I agree on Adams’ books. I like them, but certainly many more belong ahead of it. All those mentioned should be there. I enjoyed ENDER’S WAR, but wouldn’t put it on the list though.

Can’t agree with stranger in a Strange land. Not to sure about the Lensman series either. But most of the others I grok.
