1 & 2: The Cold Spot & The Coldest Mile – Tom Piccirilli: the story of Chase, a man raised by his grandfather to be a thief and getaway driver who breaks from the old man to when he crosses the line and goes on to pull his own jobs until he meets the “right’ woman and goes straight.
3: Fighting Man – Frank Gruber: the tale of a man with a reputation, unearned, who gets a chance to go straight intil someone from his past reveals his real identity. Made by Gruber into a 1949 movie, FIGHTING MAN OF THE PLAINS starring Randolph Scott. I’ve already posted a review HERE.
4: Burn Notice: The Giveaway – Tod Goldberg: a tie-in from one of my favorite series, a sort of light-hearted look at a spy’s life after he’s kicked out and becomes a savior of people ripped off or conned out of their life savings.
5: End of The World – Dean Owen: after a nuclear war, one man and his family and how they cope with the new order, which is no order at all. Ray Milland directed and starred in the 1962 film, PANIC IN YEAR ZERO. I have a review HERE.
