A light week.
1: Solomon Kane – Ramsey Campbell: a novelization of the film based on the Robert E. Howard character by the noted horror writer.
2 & 3: Countdown To Armageddon/A Stranger In Paradise(PDF file for review) – Edward M. Lerner: based on he old Ace doubles concept. You know, read one book, flip it over, and read the second.

Solomon kane looks like a delicious read!
Here’s Mine
I was wondering why A Stranger in Paradise was upside down! Enjoy!
Nice stuff, thanks as always for the post. I have mine up now too.
Now, see, that’s what’s wrong with the Solomon Kane movie right there. It’s not based on anything Howard actually wrote. It’s based on a cobbled-together screenplay, so they have to put out a novelization of it rather than pointing you to Howard. Maybe it’s a great novelization. Maybe the movie’s great, too, but I still wish they’d stuck with Howard.
I’m torn, Bill, about whether to read the book now or wait until the film makes it into DVD. I don’t understand the procedure here. This is an English release and I find no evidence it was released over here(the book or the movie). Campbell is a fine writer, but still, it’s not Howard.
Looks like those are some intense reads! Hope you enjoy them. My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.
I’ve got to get that Ramsay Campbell. He wrote a few very good sword & sorcery stories for the Swords against Darkness series so I know he can do that genre.
