I posted recently about a flood of hits on DVR Alert for Paul Newman Day on Turner Classic Movies. They were running a marathon on an upcoming Saturday of a number of his best movies. There was a block within that happened to be among my favorites. That’s all it was.

In the days and weeks that followed, I was flooded by hits on that post, long after it would have any meaning for someone wanting to watch any of those movies. I still get them every day, although it has slowed considerably.

In looking over the all time stats on the blog, it is second at 3,763 only to my Davy Crockett post at 4,057. Third on the list is Beware of Identity Theft at 2,246. Fourth on the list is The Loner at 1017.

Those four are the only posts with a 1,000+.

The one I still don’t get is the Paul Newman. That one was August, 8th. The answer I suppose is that Paul Newman is always getting hits and I had never posted anything on him before.

Otherwise….
