Red Sky In Morning – Patrick Culhane(otherwise known as Max Allan Collins): set during WWII, this is the story of green officers and the duty they volunteer for: charge of an ammo ship crewed by untrained African Americans. An explosion at their arrival in San Diego harbor sets off a chain of events. Throw in a racist captain who wants the “colored” boys and their “college boy” officers to fail and you get a powder keg with a murderer that wants to ignite the powder keg to cover his tracks.
One Lonely Night – Mickey Spillane: James Reasoner’s recent post on this one made me want to reread it. My copy seems to have slid away somewhere so I ran across this one, the same edition as his, but it’s not autographed, darn the luck.
The Last Good Kiss – James Crumley: I’ve had this one on my mind for a bit now, so when I got the chance, I picked it up.
Fight Card: Felony Fists(ebook) – Jack Tunney: new ebook series created by Paul Bishop and Mel Odom. This time it’s Paul Bishop.
Fight Card: The Cutman(ebook) – Jack Tunney: Mel Odom is Jack Tunney for this one.
