One wonders if the new Zorro enterprise has ended. Their website won’t come up when I click on the link and their presence on Facebook has backed up considerably from what it was. I had problems with getting the first book and the attitude of the guy in charge, he seemed to think I had a personal grudge against him(his words). I don’t even remember his name.
Has anybody heard anything?
update: the site loads now. Who knows what’s up with those folks? Had so much trouble i don’t think I’ll try whenever, if, the next book arrives.
One wonders. I never did get a copy of the book and the guy was rather rude to me about it so I didn’t pursue it.
I got the same reaction from him. He finally offered to refund my money if I swore to pay it back when the book came. What he did was issue a payment instead of a refund. Paypal took a cut of that and put the rest into an account. Since I only use Paypal to pay utilities and buy books, I didn’t have a Paypal credit card. An ask for a check got another chunk taken out.
When I called him on that, the fellow said that’s the way he did business with Paypal. Then he got haughty and accused me of having a personal grudge against him. “Just keep the book when it comes!” Was his last response.
The book finally arrived. I’ll send him exactly what I got back, not what I originally paid, if he wants it.
I bought the first one, and though it took a while I did get it. Then a few days later I got a second copy, for which I was not billed. I emailed asking what I should do with the second copy and heard nothing so I gave it away. I think the whole thing fell apart. Too bad.
Sounds like a bit of a shoestring operation and not managed very well. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like there was some buzz building up and it was dissipated.
