Not a good start for the Panthers. They took the opening drive down for a TD. Then, Delhomme started to stink up the place. Let’s see if I can remember. He throws an interception that leads to a field goal. Then an interception for a TD. Punt gets returned for a TD. Another interception. Then a third. A fourth. Four interceptions and a fumble. That makes ten turnovers in the last two games(counting that terrible playoff game last year against the Cardinals). Jake was taken out of the game after that.
Final score 38-10
The Redskins weren’t a lot better. The Giants took them down 23-17.
The Jets were the one shining spot for the first week. Sanchez, the new quarterback, had a great game which promises, I hope, even better things for the future. They won over the Texans 24-7.
Congrats to Saint fans(you know who I’m talking about) and Falcon fans for their wins. Tampa Bay got dumped on as well.
The cowboys won which is never a good thing, which leaves the Redskins dead last in the NFC East(sigh).
The jets are temporarily in first pending the outcome of the Monday night game between the Patriots and Bills. Worst they can do is a tie.
This may be a long season.
