The Jets started off the week on Thursday night by winning 19-13 over the Bills. New England lost today to Miami 22-21. That leaves both the Jets and Dolphins at 6-6, one game behind the Patriots.
The Panthers won out over the Bucs 16-6 today, picking off five passes from the Buc QB, three in the red zone. This may be the Panther last win this season as they face the Patriots, the Vikings, the Giants, and the Saints, in that order, the rest of the season.
Rumors still swirl about next season. Bill Cowher seems the consensus pick to replace John Fox as head coach and one wonders about the fate of Jake DelHomme. He has a long term contract, but you know how that goes.
If I believed in such things, the fact that I’ve declared allegiance to the Saints the rest of the season, I’m hoping for a Super Bowl win, I might think I’d brought them bad luck. They had to come from behind and beat the ‘Skins in overtime 33-30.
Hard on the nerves, isn’t it, Charles!
We didn’t get the game in this area, but I think they may have been looking ahead to other games down the line. I don’t know, but they do seem to have more trouble on road games. Darn near unbeatable at home, they need to stay ahead of the Vikings for home field advantage in the early playoffs.
To that end, go Cardinals tonight!
