The Panthers are now 0-5 and look terrible. The first quarter was a disaster, But for an interception in the end zone, the score would have been 24-3. After that, it settled down to a decent game(but we don’t need decent now). I’m not sure when, or if, they will win a game. Jokes are already being made. Can they beat the Bills? A team also without a win, 0-5. It would be a monstrously boring game. I’ll continue to support them, they need it, but I don’t expect much for my efforts. I hate to say that though.
The Saints lost also. What’s up with that? Totally unexpected, as defending champs one expects better. I hope they get it together quickly. Too many slip-ups this early in the season. The Falcons won, as did Tampa Bay.
The ‘Skins made a terrific comeback and pulled it out in overtime, 16-13, we’ll take it. Offense was pretty lame though. The Cowboys lost(always a good thing) and the Giants won, as well as the Eagles. Cowboys in last place, everybody else tied for first.
The Jets defeated the Minnesota Vikings Monday night 29-20. Favre mounted a comeback, after not doing much in the first half and early in the third quarter, closing the gap to two points with three minutes to go. The Jets couldn’t get nothing going and the Vikings got the ball back with just under two minutes, no timeouts. I was worried. Then Favre threw one of his patented late interceptions that leads to a touchdown, sealing the Jets’ win.
Around the league.
Congrats to the Lions on their first win. They totally smacked around the Rams to the tune of 44-6. And that was without their quarterback, out with an injury. Things are looking up for them. I’m glad as their fans deserve it.
No undefeated teams left as the Colts beat the Chiefs, an out come predicted by everyone, though Kansas City played a tighter game than expected. It looks like they are on their way to being a good team. Quarterback problems though.
