I’ve been a fan of Leigh Brackett for many years. The only one of her crime novels I’d read, though, was STRANGER AT HOME, that she’d ghost written for George Sanders. Then one week for Forgotten books, Jerry House wrote about this one on his fine blog, causing me to track it down. He does a much better job than me covering it, so read his review, then go out and find it. Why it took me so long to get to it I don’t know. Too many other books I guess.
It will be worth the effort I promise.
And she has several more mystery novels I need to track down. I hope I don’t take as long to get to them and read them as I did with this one.
