In my misspent youth, I attended a lot of concerts, mostly metal(the other kind are a whole different story). I saw the Scorpions in a double bill with Ted Nugent and they had a very young Def Leppard opening for them, when their first album was out and before they became a pop band.
Klaus Meine has one of those distinctive voices that stands out.

I loved the Scorps back in the day, still like to listen to their stuff on occasion. I’ve heard that as a live band they still really deliver the goods too. That’s good to know.
Man, we wore the grooves out of LOVE AT FIRST STING. And Nugent in those days was putting out some really good stuff too (remembering LITTLE MISS DANGEROUS).
Excellent band, one I still listen to today. Hoping that when their farewell tour final makes it to the UK I’ll get the chance to see them again.
Scorpions are a German rock band formed in the year 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, who is the band’s only constant member (although Klaus Meine has been lead singer for all their studio albums). ,
