2-5: Richard Deming was a novelist who also did tie-ins. A number of Mod Squad novels followed these two paperback novels and a Whitman hardcover which was a set of short stories. The second Whitman hardcover with Harry Morgan on the cover, covering the second version of the TV series, is essentially the same book as the earlier minus a couple of the stories and the Frank Smith character changed to Bill Gannon.

I’m sure I’d enjoy the books more than the show. I watched DRAGNET in the 80s for laughs. Pure unintentional camp.
